The NBA announced today that Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault and Atlanta Hawks head coach Quin Snyder have earned Coach of the Month honors for March 2026 in their respective conferences.
Daigneault's Thunder maintained their position atop the NBA standings with an impressive 14-1 record during the month, continuing their dominant season despite facing stiff competition for the Western Conference award.
According to the league's official announcement, Daigneault was selected from a group of nominees that included JJ Redick of the Lakers (15-2), Mitch Johnson of the Spurs (14-2), and Tyronn Lue of the Clippers (12-6). The Western Conference featured particularly strong coaching performances throughout March.
Meanwhile, Snyder guided the Hawks to a remarkable turnaround, posting a 13-2 record that propelled the team from play-in tournament positioning to the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference standings.
Snyder earned the Eastern Conference honor over fellow nominees Kenny Atkinson of the Cavaliers, J.B. Bickerstaff of the Pistons, Mike Brown of the Knicks, Charles Lee of the Hornets, and Joe Mazzulla of the Celtics.
This marks the second Coach of the Month award this season for both Daigneault and Spurs coach Mitch Johnson, making them the only multiple winners thus far. Suns coach Jordan Ott previously earned the Western Conference honor in January.
The Eastern Conference has seen more distribution of coaching honors, with five different coaches receiving monthly awards. Snyder joins Bickerstaff (October/November), Mazzulla (December), Lee (January), and Atkinson (February) as Eastern Conference winners this season.
Both coaches will look to carry their March success into the final stretch of the regular season and upcoming playoffs, with the Thunder aiming to maintain their top seeding and the Hawks seeking to solidify their position above the play-in threshold.
