The NBA G League announced on April 7, 2026, that Miami HEAT two-way guard Jahmir Young has been selected for the 2025-26 All-NBA G League Second Team following his exceptional performance with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Young delivered a remarkable campaign, appearing in 25 regular season games while posting averages of 26 points, 8.9 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in 38.1 minutes per contest. The efficient guard shot 47.1% from the field, 37.6% from three-point range, and 81.5% from the free throw line.
His January performance proved particularly dominant, as Young averaged 29.5 points, 9.7 assists, and 4.9 rebounds across 11 games while shooting 50.2% from the field and 40.2% from beyond the arc. The scoring outburst included 11 consecutive games with 20 or more points and double-digit assists in four of his final five appearances.
The league recognized Young's excellence by naming him NBA G League Player of the Week for games played January 19-25. During that stretch, he averaged 32.3 points, 10.3 assists, and 3.7 rebounds across three games while leading Sioux Falls to a 2-1 record. His consistent dominance throughout the month earned him NBA G League Player of the Month honors for January.
Young's standout season continued to gain recognition when he was selected to participate in the 2026 NBA Rising Stars game during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles in mid-February.
The scoring guard made franchise history by breaking the Skyforce record for most consecutive games with 20 or more points. Young reached 15 consecutive games on March 7, 2026, and extended the remarkable streak to 18 games by March 13, 2026.
Among his most impressive individual performances, Young recorded 22 points with a career-high 18 assists against the Salt Lake City Stars, followed by a season-high 36 points with 12 assists in the subsequent matchup.
The All-NBA G League Second Team selection adds to Young's growing list of accomplishments as he continues to develop through the Miami HEAT's two-way program. His consistent production and record-breaking performances have established him as one of the most promising talents in the G League this season.
