Motor City Cruise forward-center Isaac Jones has achieved a historic milestone for the franchise, earning selection to the 2025-26 All-NBA G League First Team. The two-way player becomes the first in Cruise history to receive this prestigious honor.
Jones, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound force, dominated the regular season with averages of 22.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.9 blocks in 30.0 minutes per game. His remarkable efficiency saw him shoot 61.6% from the field, making him the only player in the league to finish shooting over 60% on at least 350 attempts.
The Spanaway, Washington native demonstrated exceptional two-way impact throughout the campaign. He led all second-year forwards with 1.9 blocks per game, ranking sixth among all qualified players. Jones was also the only player in the league to finish in the top 10 in both blocks (54, sixth) and plus-minus (252, third).
Jones' scoring average set a new franchise record for players appearing in at least 20 games. He posted career-best averages in scoring, assists, steals, and blocks after appearing in just 12 games during his rookie G League season.
His impact extended into the postseason, where he averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks through the first two rounds of the 2026 NBA G League playoffs. On March 31 at Raptors 905, Jones delivered 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks in 26 minutes, powering Motor City to its first playoff win in franchise history.
Combining the Tip-Off Tournament and regular season, Jones set another franchise record with 66 total blocks in 40 games, surpassing John Ukomadu's previous mark of 50 in 50 games. He also became the first player in franchise history to record at least 800 points (815) and 350 rebounds across both portions of the season.
Jones' March performance earned him Player of the Month honors, making him the second Cruise player to achieve this recognition. He led the team to a 9-2 record during the month, helping secure the franchise's first postseason berth since the inaugural 2021-22 season.
His standout March performance came on March 20 against the Wisconsin Herd, where he recorded 24 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and a career-high six blocks that also set a franchise record. Throughout the month, he averaged 29.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game, leading the league in both scoring and blocks among qualified players.
Jones has also seen limited action with the Detroit Pistons, appearing in three regular season games and totaling four points, three rebounds, and one block in nine minutes. Prior to signing with Detroit, he began the year with the Sacramento Kings, making three appearances and totaling three points, two rebounds, and one assist.
The recognition places Jones among the G League's elite performers this season and signals his potential for future NBA opportunities. His historic season has set new standards for the Motor City Cruise franchise and established him as one of the most dominant two-way players in the development league.
